Isaiah 61:1-3 - "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."
God's desire for his children that we have the best in life; however as we start walking through this life we find despair, loneliness, abandonment, depression, anxiety, fear, stress, grief, and many more. God's desire for us is that we live lives filled with love, joy and peace. In order to have this change we must spend time with God in His presence and allow Him to heal and minister to the wounds that have been inflicted on us by the world we live in and allow God to fill those places with His joy, His love and His peace. Sounds too easy, doesn't it? IT IS JUST THAT EASY!
It is a simple process, but at the same time we become so comfortable in our place of pain and anguish that we do not want to let go of it. For some of us this pain is all we really know. This is why the first thing you must be willing to do is allow God to fully heal you. If you are not willing then God cannot step in. God is a gentleman and never forces you to do anything. So ultimately, the choice is yours. Beauty from ashes, or lives filled with ash? Peace from anxiety, joy from mourning, love from abandonment or reside where you are. For me the choice was simple for others it will not be as easy. My prayer for each one of my readers today is that you will allow God to heal you and let that beauty shine through!
